LAA Events:  An important component of LAA is the many important and valuable contacts and relationships developed.  Socials are planned for most months at different venues affording graduates and prospective members to socialize and continue to build and strengthen relationships.  Most events requiring tickets can be purchased on-line.  Typical events include:

LAA Speakers Series: Cyber Risk Management and the Human Factor @ AACC's Cyber Center

Cybersecurity is not something that can be achieved through technology alone, the human factor is a critical component.  Organizations of all shapes and sizes in every industry must have employees that are Cybersecurity aware to maintain an acceptable level of security.  AACC’s CyberCenter has developed a modular approach to Cybersecurity awareness training to meet the specific needs of any industry and business organization.

The Executive Women’s Forum, cosponsored

by LAA, is designed to serve the unique needs of women business leaders in Anne Arundel County. This collaborative learning community will enhance the leadership skills and resources of our women executives and provide them with a network of executive-level advisors and peer mentors. Forum sessions will focus on member’s personal leadership challenges, taping the diverse expertise of the group and will be facilitated by a certified facilitator/coach.

Who should participate…Forum will be beneficial for senior executive women who seek to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness within the context of their organization and individual of their organization and individual performance. Limited to 14 participants.

What you can expect from this forum…

Become more skillful at understanding yourself and others-Gain awareness of the impact your behavior has on others-Develop skills to adapt and connect more effectively to influence others-Learn the art of giving and receiving feedback-Grow as a leader and help others become leaders as well-Improve your leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving-Acquire new or advanced leadership skills-Better knowledge upon which to base actions/decisions Program Dates

Come join fellow graduates at Historic London Town & Gardens on the beautiful shores of the South River.  Enjoy good food by caterers from all over the area.  With a drink in hand, enjoy the scenery and the breezes off the South River.  If you are feeling adventurous stroll through the Woodland and Ornamental Gardens.  Something is always blooming!  For the history buffs, see the William Brown House (c. 1760) where George Washington had dinner in 1783 after resigning his commission at the Annapolis State House.
There will be something for everyone.
