LAA’s classes have created important sustaining projects, community events and foundations that have become an integral part of the community and touched many lives every year.

Examples include:

Pass, Pick & Play

Providing gently used sports equipment to the youth of Anne Arundel County.

A Smartphone application which will be installed at the County 911 District Dispatch Center and will enable citizens that subscribe (at no cost) to be alerted whenever there is a sudden cardiac arrest within 1,000 feet of their location

21st Century Education Foundation

This nonprofit raises funds to be distributed throughout County schools in the form of mini-grants, technology and incentives.

Battle of the Bands

This annual event sells out Maryland Hall every year with proceeds dedicated to music departments at the winning schools throughout the county.

Heart Smart

The Cliff R. Roop Cardiac Support and Education Foundation – This foundation literally saves lives with the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout Anne Arundel County.

Operation Green Thumb
